Universal cast brass Cow Catcher to fit Roundhouse and Accucraft, maybe more.

This Cow Catcher has been made to fit the Accucraft Ragleth and Roundhouse Lady Anne style buffer beams, but may fit many other brands and types of 16mm locomotives? Cast from a one piece casting, this cow catcher will cope with anything a 16mm locomotive may come across. It has been designed to give a low profile, discreet look and will add that little extra something to most locos.

A gap has been left between the bars to allow the drilling of two holes to match the Roundhouse buffer beam bolts. Fixing to an Accucraft buffer beam will require the drilling of new holes in a place that you feel looks the best. If drilling holes is not your thing, you could stick it on with strong double sided gel tape or glue it on in some way (not recommended).

Because this cow catcher is universal, it may be necessary to file a very small amount for a perfect fit as locos and couplings are varied. It is also worth pointing out that the outer one or two bars could be cut off to make a narrow cow catcher, just a little wider than the rails. This would give even more variety.

For greater flexibility on buffer placement on Roundhouse locos, you could replace the buffer bolts with counter sunk bolts after counter sinking the buffer beam. Then you are free to place the cow catcher in a new location, unhindered by the standard round head bolts .
