A direct replacement scale coupling for the Roundhouse pressed steel buffer found on many of their newer engines.

Can also replace the white metal buffer and be used in conjunction with our Roundhouse buffer beam overlay set.

These beautifully cast brass buffers are made to fit both types of Roundhouse buffer beams, the 'slot' type and, original white metal buffers.

Please note, we also make a brass buffer beam overlay, to work with this coupling to be used on the white metal buffer type beam. This customizable overlay will cover up the gap under the buffer.

These couplings can be assembled in just a few minutes with simple tools. They will give a very scale look to the front, (or rear) of your Roundhouse locomotive.

There is an over length bar projecting from the rear of the buffer with a series of dots at 5mm spacing. Simply pick the dot that best matches your engine and drill a suitable sized hole for your bolt. Then cut the brass bar to the correct length and bolt in place.

The chopper will couple to another Swift Sixteen buffer head and Accucraft chopper perfectly. Please note that only one chopper will fit into a buffer, not the normal two like a standard Accucraft. 

You have options for the fitment of these buffers in as much as you can choose to fit the 'chopper',  'drawbar' or nothing.
